We feature the Ryan Lawn Air-28 based on our research, it is the best equipment. The Piston Drive (Tines) provides 12 cores of soil per square foot compared to the 9 cores on the less expensive machines. In addition, we extract deeper cores of soil. Your lawn deserves the finest and so do you, our customer. Our rates are more than competitive, just because you pay less doesn't mean you should not deserve more!

Verticutting
We can remove the excessive thatch accumulated mechanically by using veticutting blades that cut through the thatch layer and opens up a slit or miniature furrow ¼ - ½ inch in the soil.

Lawn Seeding
For lawns that need seeding we provide a full seeding service, using the finest sod quality, inspected grass seeds and a Starter Fertilizer to get the new seedlings off to a fast, strong start. We guarantee the germination of seed and the window for application is limited, due to weather patterns.

Brush Hog
Contact us for estimates of small lots to large acres requiring brush hog mowing. Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Monthly schedules can be arranged on a per hour basis.

Fall and Spring Clean Up
Landscape Beds and Grass Areas will be Cleaned Up with a Manicured Touch. Additional mulch will be added as required. Seasonal flowers can be placed in beds upon request.

Fall leaves can be bagged and/or removed in either Fall or Spring.

Fertilization/Weed Control

• Continuous Monitoring - Your lawn will be inspected, and the requirements determined, before the first treatment. Each treatment is recorded, and the lawn is monitored during each application to insure that it is progressing on schedule. For our customer whose turf we also mow we monitor the development per mowing. For our customers who mow their turf, we depend on their communication to inform us that problems have developed. We also spot spray for weed control during each application. If a problem develops between applications, you simply call and a JEM Manicured Lawn Services and a Specialist will be sent to your lawn and resolve the problem.
• Fertilization - Your lawn will receive five feedings throughout the year, including a "winterizing" feeding. Each feeding is made using only quality, inspected, timed-release fertilizers that are formulated for the specific needs of your lawn at the time of application by state certified personnel.
• Crabgrass Prevention - Two applications of crabgrass prevention are made in early spring to prevent crabgrass from invading the lawn throughout the season.
• Broadleaf Weed Control - In mid-spring, we clear out other common lawn weeds. Then we inspect for any new invaders throughout the year, and eliminate them at no extra charge, excluding nut sedge (we offer an optional application for this service).
• Grub Protection - We include a season-long protection against damaging lawn grubs. Sometimes by the time a homeowner realizes a problem has developed, it is too late to treat adequately. Our treatment includes protection from this happening.
• Winterizing - Soil samples are taken and a determination is made if pH balances are acceptable. Also, a winterizing fertilization is made in late fall to carry those gains we made for the year into next spring. This is how great lawns are made ... by adding the improvement from one season to the next.
• Fungus Disease Control - If disease threatens your lawn, we have the full line of fungus disease controls available to stop the spread of almost any disease problem.
• Insect Protection - We are available to clear out summer lawn-damaging insects, such as sod webworms and chinchbugs, along with a number of other invaders.

Mowing -Trimming - Cleanup with a Manicured Touch
All turf areas will be mowed (as needed) to a height of 3 inches. The height of the grass blades is directly proportionate to the depth of the root system. Where by cutting 3 inches in height allows for enhanced turf development which aids in preventing weed development. We never remove more than one-third (1/3) of the leaf surface each time we mow. Leaf surface or cutting height refers to the length of grass above the soil. Recent studies conducted by K-State reveal cutting greater than 1/3 puts the turf under stress.

We pay close attention to the sharpness of the mower blades to ensure a clean cut. Dull blades will produce a ripped edge on the grass blade which is damaging to turf development and creates an unsightly appearance.

Consideration will be given to days between mowing; Spring may require mowing every five days, whereas July/August may require a 10 day cycle due to temperature and/or rainfall. Our focus is to protect and provide optimal turf development.

Trimming will include: Landscape Beds, trees, shrubs, driveway, sidewalks, and curb lines. Grass clippings will be blown from these surfaces.
